Introducing the President’s Award!

At Rohrer Bus, we often say that school transportation professionals are the best people we know—and we don’t say it lightly.

They’re up before sunrise. They brave cold weather, long routes, engine trouble, and shifting schedules. They show up with care, consistency, and a deep sense of purpose; whether they’re behind the wheel, under the hood, or behind the scenes keeping everything moving.

From drivers to technicians to dispatchers and office staff, our team is made up of problem-solvers, protectors, and people who understand what it means to carry a community forward. It’s not always glamorous work, but it’s meaningful, and we see that meaning play out every day in thousands of small, important moments.

It’s the mechanic who finds a way to get a downed bus back in service by the next run.

It’s the dispatcher who keeps calm and communicates clearly on the toughest of days.

It’s the driver who knows every student’s name, and notices when something just isn’t right.

It’s the team that makes all this feel seamless.

We believe the best ideas come from the ground up, which is why we’re asking for your help in identifying the first recipients of the President’s Award.

Nominations are now open and will be accepted through May 31, 2025. There are three categories: School Bus Driver of the Year, School Van Driver of the Year, and Full-Time Employee of the Year. 

If you know a team member who truly lives our values and goes above and beyond to serve others, we want to hear their story.
